John Lambert owns and operates Lambert Arabians with his wife, Lynda. Established in 1999 in Michigan, John started Lambert Arabians after spending many years working and showing with some of the most known names in the Arabian industry – Shawn and Carmelle Rooker, Jim Lowe and Ray LaCroix. He began riding at the age of 16, starting first with an Appaloosa and quickly moving into the Arabians and never looking back. John bought his first Arabian with money he had saved working through high school and showed 4H and Class A.
In 2004, John took the opportunity to work with one of the most respected and talented Arabian trainers, Bob Battaglia, before relocating Lambert Arabians to Scottsdale, Arizona. He strongly believes in quality not quantity and limits his program to 15 horses in order to ensure that each horse and owner receives the time needed to help them achieve their goals. John strives to develop each horse and rider’s potential by treating them as unique individuals with their own personality, strengths and competencies.
The primary focus of Lambert Arabians is honesty with the clients and attention to all of the details, including horse care, show turnout and overall business operations. John specializes in English and Halter for the amateur and youth exhibitor. He has a B.S. in Animal Science from Michigan State University, with an emphasis in Equine Exercise Physiology and Nutrition, and also holds his Arabian and USAE judge's cards. When he’s not at the barn, John enjoys spending free time with his wife and son and fly fishing.
After training hard for 16 years, John has a number of prestigious accomplishments including:
- National Accomplishments: 2 National Champions, 1 Reserve National Champion, Many Top 10s
