Body Condition Scoring? There’s an App for That!

Summary Local governments of all shapes and sizes are using planning and zoning tools in their communities. This webinar will discuss the basics of planning and zoning, and will cover the tools of zoning codes and the comprehensive plan. In plain terms, learn how to understand what your property is zoned, how to get involved in the planning process, and what to look for relative to horse-friendly plans and regulations.

Presenter Information

Colleen Brady is the Purdue University Extension faculty member providing leadership for the 4-H animal sciences program and a member of the Animal Sciences department's Life Science Education Team, which works to develop innovative and effective formal and informal educational programming for youth. Dr. Brady focuses her research on measuring increases in science competency in youth due to participation in animal science-based programming, as well as exploring motivating factors affecting youth decisions to participate in those programs.

Kathy Anderson has been the Extension Horse Specialist at the University of Nebraska since 1991. She oversees the youth and adult extension horse program as well as teaches Undergraduate courses in the Animal Science Department. Kathy is currently teaching courses in Horse Management, Equine Reproduction, and Equine Nutrition. Additionally she has coached the UNL Horse Judging team.
